This Thursday, September 11, is La Paloma Academy Night at Skate Country.

UPCOMING IN CLASS:      

This week we will continue reviewing and learning r-controlled vowels, the wh combination, and contractions.  We will continue to discuss character, setting and plot of a story. In math we will add whole numbers with and without regrouping, and solve word problems.

HOMEWORK:                

Please assist your child with his/her homework if necessary and be sure he/she returns it the next day.

This week’s spelling words are a review of the silent-e word list. Please have your child read and practice the words daily.

Also attached to the newsletter is this week’s reading log. Children should read every day to improve his/her reading skills.  This is a required assignment due on Monday and YOUR CHILD must be the one completing the reading log.
