Hi!

Welcome to second grade!  I am very excited to be teaching second grade; and we should have a very good time this year!

School starts this Thursday, August 2.  We will spend most of this week getting organized, learning new routines, and reviewing rules and expectations.

There will be no homework this week; however, we will get right to "business" next week and there will be homework and spelling words.  Please be sure your child does and turns in her/his homework and assist when necessary.

I will send home a questionnaire on Thursday. Please take a few minutes to fill it out and return it as soon as possible.  Thank you.

I will also send home a letter with some basic information you should be aware of.  If you do not receive these forms please send me a note or email and I will send another.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi!

I can hardly believe it is the last week of school! I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that it has been wonderful having your children in my class. They are very special people, they worked hard, and I know you are so proud of them. I look forward to seeing them next year as “big” second graders!

The last day of school is this Wednesday, May 23. This will be a half day with no after-school classes or lunch served. Report cards will be sent home with students that day.

We will have our first grade end of the year party on Tuesday afternoon. J

Please be sure your child has returned all of the library books he/she has borrowed.  Thanks!

Please make every effort to have your child practice his/her reading and writing skills throughout the summer.

There will be no homework this week.

Have a great summer!
