UPCOMING IN CLASS:          

This week we will continue reviewing and learning r-controlled vowels.  We will discuss main idea and author’s purpose in reading. In math we will be working on odd and even numbers and place value.

Please assist your child with his/her homework if necessary and be sure he/she returns it the next day. This is very important since all homework assignments reinforce that which has been taught in class. It is also very important that your child takes responsibility for completing and returning his/her assignments.

This week’s spelling word list is attached to this week's newsletter. Please have your child read and practice the words daily.

Also attached is this week’s reading log. Children should read every day to improve his/her reading skills.  Therefore this is a required assignment!
