Busy, busy, busy!

Hi! I hope everyone had a wonder fall weekend!

I would like to thank those of you that came in for parent teacher conferences last week. I really appreciate this time. If you were unable to come in at your scheduled time and you would like to come in on another day please send me a note and I will be happy to arrange a time for us to meet.

Thursday, October 7, is an extremely important day for La Paloma Academy. It is the 40th day of school and funding is based on student attendance that day. Please make every effort to have your child at school. It will be a fun day as well. We will be making applesauce that day!

Grandparent's Day will be Wednesday, October 13. Grandparents will meet in the cafeteria for refreshments then visit the classrooms. Report card day will for the first quarter will also be that Wednesday. So that you can make necessary arrangements please note that lunch will not be served and there will be no After School classes.

Harvest Break will be Thursday and Friday, October 12 and 13. There will be no school that day.

Newsletter Highlights September 20

Hi! I hope you had a great weekend!

If you have not done so already, please sign and return the permission slip allowing your child to check out books from the school library and use the internet.

Please be sure your child is in dress code and be sure he/she comes to school with his/her shirt already tucked in. Thanks.

This Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 is La Paloma night at Skate Country. This is so much fun for everyone!

FYI - I'm sure realize that the public library is a great resource for books, tapes and videos. But did you know that you can check out these items online? You can reserve a book anytime. You just go to www.library.pima.gov, search the catalog for the book or item you want, click on the title, click on the reserve link, and enter your library card number and PIN. You can select any branch as the location to pick up your books and they will be ready in a few days!

As you know La Paloma Academy has a dress code that requires shirts be tucked in. It would help the children if they could come to school with their shirts already tucked in. They are trying hard to comply and anything to help them would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It was great seeing all of you that were able to make it to Open House!

For those of you that weren't able to make it to Open House and sign up for conferences, I have scheduled a conference time for us to meet. Our conference will be scheduled some time the week of September 20 and I attached a note to Tuesday's newsletter indicating the time of our meeting. If you are unable to make it at that time just contact me so that we can reschedule. Thanks!

The Entertainment Book sale ends September 8. If you do not wish to purchase the book please return it immediately. Thank you for your cooperation.
