The school dress code requires shirts to be tucked in. It would greatly help your child to come to school with his/her shirt already tucked in. Thank you for your support!

Tuesday, September 17, is our La Paloma Academy read-in.  This would be a wonderful opportunity to spend time reading with your child at school! And, you can enjoy a yummy ice cream sundae together too!

Also, attached is an interesting article on sleep deprivation and its affect on children’s health, academic achievement and behavior.

Please assist your child with his/her homework if necessary and be sure he/she returns it the next day.  

This week’s spelling words are listed below.  Please be sure that your child reads and practices these words every day. Your child’s spelling test scores directly reflect the time they spend reading and practicing the words.  

The reading log that is attached to the newsletter must be completed and is due on Monday (so that your child may have the weekend to finish it).  It is essential that your child read as much as possible to strengthen her/his reading skills.
