Hello! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

This Wednesday we will be making "gingerbread houses" from graham crackers, frosting and candy. I would greatly appreciate your donation of any small fun decorative candy, or a can of white butter cream frosting. Thank you so much!

Our Holiday Concert is this Thursday, December 16, at 2:00, in the cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there! Please have your child dress in jeans and a red shirt that day.
Also, it would be really nice if we all could bring in cookies to share!

Please remember your child must have her/his timeline turned in by December 16. Thanks!

Winter break will be from Monday, December 20, through Friday, December 31. We will be back in school Monday, January 3.

Friday, December 17, will be a half day and there will be no after-school classes or lunch served. Report cards will be sent home with the children that day.

In order to reinforce your child's emerging reading skills he/she must read as much as possible at home as well as school. Reading logs must be completed and turned in each Friday. This is a required assignment.

On Monday I will begin to send home a reading log to be completed each week. Your child must be the one to complete it. He or she may read any story or book of interest to him/her. With your assistance, if necessary, your child must read stories; then she or he must complete the reading log by writing the title of each story, the author, what the story was about, and if she/he liked it. If your child reads a chapter book, he/she may write about one chapter for each entry. So, three chapters would complete one reading log sheet. These will be sent home on Monday and should be turned in by the next Monday.
