Hello! I hope everyone had a nice break!

Please remember to check your child’s homework every day.  Even if your child completed his/her homework in the after-school class please check to be sure that it has been done correctly.

Friday, October 24, La Paloma Academy’s Harvest Fest.  This is an evening of games, family, friends, candy and fun!  I look forward to seeing you there! (Any donated bags of candy would be greatly appreciated!)

This week students will learn prefixes and suffixes and review r-controlled vowels. In reading students will identify facts and details in a text. In math students will continue to count money, add with and without regrouping, and solve word problems.

Please assist your child with his/her homework if necessary and be sure he/she returns it the next day.

This week’s spelling word list is attached to the newsletter. Please have your child read and practice the words daily.

Also attached is this week’s reading log. Children should read every day to improve their reading skills.  This is a required assignment due on Monday and YOUR CHILD must be the one completing the reading log.
