J  Hello!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!

This week, April 7-11, is AIMS week.  Second grade does not take the AIMS test. However, they do take the Stanford 10 (a national standardized test).  Please be sure your child is well rested.

There will be no daily math or  reading homework this week. However, there will still be a spelling test on Friday.

Our class has earned enough points to have a Good Character Celebration!  This Thursday, April 10, will be a dress down day for our class. This includes wearing pajamas.  If your child wishes to wear slippers or sandals, he/she must wear school shoes to school and change in class.

Our class also wants to enjoy snacks in the afternoon.  If you wish to send in a snack that day I’m sure the kids would greatly appreciate it. J 

Please take a moment to write a note sharing a time when your child was showing kindness.

Be sure your child reads every day. It is essential that your child read every day to maintain and improve his/her reading skills.
