September 8 Newsletter
Hi everyone! I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend!
The children are working together quite well and doing a great job in class!
General info:
If you have not done so already, please be sure to send in your unsold Entertainment Books or check as soon as possible. The sale ends September 9. Thanks for your cooperation.
As you know, La Paloma Academy is a CHARACTER COUNTS! school. We teach and encourage behavior that reflects six character pillars: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship. In order to encourage the children at home as well as at school I would like you to send a short note describing a situation when you feel that your child has demonstrated a noteworthy act of character. I would like your child to share the note with the class. The children are very proud of these notes and really enjoy having them read to their friends.
Upcoming in class:
This week we will read Sophie and Jack, by Judy Taylor. We will also begin our unit on maps and will enjoy Hansel and Gretel, by James Marshal. (These characters surely could have used a map :) )
